The Hot Toys Hulkbuster Deluxe version depicts Iron Man’s forty-forth suit from the Avengers:Age of Ultron Movie.
As the name implies, it was made specifically to restrain the Hulk in cases of emergency and was designed with the help of Bruce Banner. It makes perfect sense as Bruce Banner knows the weaknesses of the Hulk and how best to exploit them.
The Hulkbuster is an additional suit donned by Iron Man while already suited up and that makes him really massive. The massive size also gives Iron Man Superhuman strength to match that of the Hulk.
I think a very cool feature about the Hulkbuster is the suiting up process. For Iron Man to suit up in the Hulkbuster, he commands Veronica, an orbital tracking platform in space to launch the armor which flies to his location.
Also, as part of a well thought out plan, Veronica also launches an electrified containment shell which imprisons the Hulk temporarily.
Is the Hot Toys Hulkbuster Fun to Play with?
The Hot Toys Hulkbuster Deluxe version is 10kg in weight and stands at a towering 55cm (21inches) tall. When paired with the Hot Toys Hulk figure, it is definitely going to be a centre piece of attraction.
As seen in the Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie, the Hot Toys Hulkbuster Deluxe 1/6 Scale figure has faithfully included a piece of interlocking arm which is used to restrict the Hulk’s arm movement.
Eventually, the Hulkbuster flew the Hulk over a building under construction and dropped him through the building. The impact from this caused Hulk to go into a temporary daze, allowing the Hulkbuster to take him out with a final punch to the head, as the scene cuts away.
Can it really fit a Hot Toys 1/6 Scale Iron Man?
The Hot Toys Hulkbuster Deluxe version also comes with an Iron Man Bust that is revealed when you lift the face armour on the Hulkbuster. The Iron Man bust itself, comes with Led Light up eyes and Arc Reactor.
Do note that it is only a Bust, meaning only the upper body is included in the Hot Toys Hulkbuster.
However, do note that the Hot Toys Hulkbuster is able to fit the standard 1/6 Scale Hot Toys Iron Man figure as seen in the pictures.
Having said that, it is advised not to pose the figure if you choose to insert your 1/6 Scale Hot Toys Iron Man into the Hulkbuster.
Also, take note of scratching the paint off your Iron Man figure’s legs while doing that. Considering this, Hot Toys has included protective sleeves for his legs, as shown here.
Hot Toys Hulkbuster Deluxe Version Accessories
Here, you can pose the Hulkbuster and the Hulk in this iconic pose where their punches met, creating a powerful shockwave that obliterated the surroundings.
The Hot Toys Hulkbuster figure includes the Jackhammer left arm which was seen in the movies delivering multiple punches to the Hulk’s face. It is a fun accessory to have, though it was not very effective in the movie.
